Double bids in the overview

It can happen that the same bid can be seen by two different bidders. This happens when a user submits a bid that equals (same amount) an automatic bid (maximum bid) of another user. Because an automatic bid is published earlier, it gets priority. Both bids are visible in the bid overview.

Realtime connection issue

It may happen that your connection to the Internet is restricted due to location or due to outdated technology. If this is the case for you, we will automatically display a pop-up window that indicates this. For security reasons, you cannot participate in the auction during this time.

If you would like to participate in the bidup at the end of an auction, we kindly ask you to choose a safe location as a precaution so that you have sufficient internet connection and the possibility to bid is guaranteed.

What is an automatic bid and how does it work?

An automatic bid, or auto bid, is a great way to stick to your budget and stay on top! You’re in full control — you decide the maximum amount you’re willing to bid and the system take care of the fuss.

All you need to do is decide on the maximum you’re willing to bid on that lot. From there, the system will automaticaly place the next minimum bid for you.

Unlike a regular bid, you don’t need to keep checking in and rebidding. If another bidder outbids you, we’ll place a bid for you to put you back on top (always in the smallest possible increments).

But we’ll never go above the limit you’ve set. If someone bids above your limit, we’ll let you know and then you can decide if you want to place another bid.

VAT for customers from abroad

The value-added tax invoiced for buyers residing abroad cannot be refunded by farmers who use the flat-rate scheme (10.7%), as this tax is not payable by the Exhibitor to the tax authorities. The auction fee may be exempted from value-added tax upon presentation of the necessary documents. If the Exhibitor is a business or a farmer opting for 19% value-added tax, the exemption from sales tax does not change.
