Ovian is a sweet horse with three good gaits. His trot is active and has potential for further development through more training and strengthening. His canter is very good and ground covering and will with more strength show its full potential. The walk has very good quality and he walks through his body with suppleness. He is suitable for an amateur rider that would like a horse with some height and frame, with a good attitude and willingness to work.
At the age of eight, Ovian’s sire Jovian has already won a series of competitions in international Grand Prix arenas and came fourth in the World Cup Freestyle in Vilhelmsborg/DEN - with a score of over 80 percent! With his rider Andreas Helgstrand, Jovian continues where he left off as a celebrated young horse: namely at the top of the rankings! World Champion of the five-year-old dressage horses (four out of the five criteria were marked 10). World Champion of the seven-year-olds (with 95.2 percent). And it was probably only due to the cancellation of the 2020 Championships due to the coronavirus pandemic that Jovian was not able to defend his title in the six-year-old class as well and thus complete the coveted World Championship title three times.
With his first foals, Jovian is on everyone’s lips: Slangerupgaards Josefine was the top price of the Danish Elite Foal Auction, with a knockdown price of 72,000 euros. At the Danish Foal Championships, Jubilee accessed the finals of the fillies.
The dam sire Blue Hors Romanov was awarded the honorable award VTV Dressage Stallion 2008 which goes to young stallions that stand out remarkably in both sport and breeding. After having been highly dominant in the Young Horse Championships 2004, 2005, and 2006 Romanov took another step forward in 2007 and made his debut in small tour dressage at the international show in Lingen, Germany, and placed 2nd in Prix St. Georges and 4th in Intermediaire I. He went on to win the Intermediaire at the World Cup qualifier in Odense and eventually made his debut in Grand Prix at the stallion licensing in Herning 2008 and won! He placed twice in Mediem Cup in Lingen at the Grand Prix series for horses under 10 years of age. Romanov was the runner-up stallion at the Oldenburg licensing in 2002. In Herning 2004 he was acclaimed 4-year-old Licensing Champion.
